A player has to leave part-way through. How do I drop them?
Drop a player mid-event and keep their results.
Drop them from Game Day > Pairings > Players. They keep their results so far and are left out of later rounds.
- Click Players.
- Click Drop next to their name and confirm with Drop.
What happens to their current game depends on the round:
- Round in play (Active): they stay in their match so you can score it. Click Score on the table and enter the result.
- Paired but not started: they are taken out of the pairing and their opponent has an open slot. Re-pair, drag someone in, or use Add Match.
Use Drop, not Remove from Tournament on the Attendees tab. Removing deletes their match data. To undo a drop, find them under Dropped and click Reinstate.
In a teams event, dropping a player takes the whole team out of pairings. Keep them on the roster and score their table instead. A doubles team can still play with one player.
