Refunds & Cancellations

Request a refund if you can no longer attend a paid tournament.

If you have registered for a paid tournament and can no longer attend, you may be able to request a refund directly from OWR, provided you are within the refund window.

Refund eligibility

A refund is available when all of these are true:

  • The tournament has a paid entry fee processed through OWR (Stripe).
  • Your payment has been completed, not still pending.
  • You have not already been refunded.
  • The current date is before the refund deadline set by the organiser.

If you are eligible, a Refund card appears at the bottom of your registration confirmation page.

Requesting a refund

  1. Go to My Events and click on the tournament.
  2. On the confirmation page, scroll to the Refund section at the bottom.
  3. Click Request Refund.
  4. Confirm the refund request.

The refund is processed through Stripe. Your payment is reversed and your registration state changes to Refunded. This frees up a spot for other players, or the next person on the waitlist.

Refund deadline

Organisers set a refund deadline, typically a few days before the event. After this date the refund option disappears and you will need to contact the organiser directly if you need to cancel. The deadline is set by the organiser and may vary between events.

Offline payments

If you paid outside of OWR (cash, bank transfer, and so on), the refund system does not apply. Contact the organiser directly to arrange a refund.

After a refund

  • Your registration state shows as Refunded.
  • You are removed from the attendee list.
  • If the tournament had a waitlist, the next person in line may be promoted to a confirmed spot.
  • The refund amount appears on your original payment method (processing time depends on your bank).
