Does the waitlist fill automatically when someone drops out?
How waitlist promotion works before and after registration closes.
Yes, while registration is open. When a player withdraws, is refunded or is removed, the next player in the waitlist queue gets the spot and is emailed. On a paid event they then need to pay, unless they paid while waitlisted.
Once registration has closed, you move people off the waitlist yourself:
- Before the day: on Setup > Attendees, open the ⋮ menu on their row and choose Confirm (move off waitlist).
- On the day: in Game Day > Pairings > Players, click Add to event.
The player marked Next up on the Attendees tab gets the next spot. Drag players by the handle to change the order.
The waitlist only exists if Enable waitlist when full is on in Dates & Payment. It is on by default.
