Standings and Soft Scores for Organisers

Read live standings round by round, add penalties or bonuses before the reveal, and check soft scores from Game Day.

The Standings and Soft Scores tabs under Game Day show how the event stands after each round. They update as scores come in. You also add penalties or bonuses here.

Which tabs you will see

  • Singles: Standings, plus Soft Scores if you set up soft score categories.
  • Doubles: Doubles Standings and Individual Standings, plus Soft Scores if you have soft categories.
  • Teams: Team Standings and Individual Standings, plus Team Soft Scores (team categories) and Individual Soft Scores (per-player categories) when you have them.

A soft scores tab only appears when that kind of category is set up in Setup > Scoring.

Standings

Pick a round

Use the round picker at the top to see standings after any round. The line above the table says which round you are looking at, for example Individual standings after Round 3. While a round is in play, a badge shows how many players are still awaiting scores.

Pairings order or final standings

Next to the round picker is a two-way switch:

  • Pairings: the order the pairing engine uses (battle points only). This is the default while rounds are still running.
  • Final standings: your official ranking, either Best Overall or Best General, as chosen under Official Final Ranking in Setup > Scoring > Pairings / Rankings. This becomes the default once every round is complete.

Reading the table

Columns depend on your scoring setup. You will usually see Player (or Team / Doubles Pair), Record (wins, losses, draws), Battle, Scenarios, and Soft and Overall when soft scores or adjustments count. Click any column heading to sort by it. On a phone the headings are shortened, with a key under the table (for example B = Battle).

Award emojis next to a name show the achievements that player has earned. Hover over one to see what it is. Dropped players stay in the table, marked Dropped.

For how ties are broken, see Pairings, Tiebreakers and Strength of Schedule.

Penalties and bonuses

Once every round is complete, each row on the standings tab gets a scales icon (Apply penalty / bonus). For the steps, and which tab to use in doubles and teams, see Score Adjustments.

Soft Scores

Soft scores are things like painting, sportsmanship and favourite-opponent votes. The Soft Scores tab is a read-only summary. You do not type scores in here.

Where soft scores come from

  • Players enter them in the Battle Hub as part of their result, depending on how you set up each category.
  • You enter or fix them in a match's score window on the Pairings tab: click Score or Scored on the table and open Soft Scores.
  • In teams events, team soft scores are entered on each team captain's match.

Soft scores never hold up a round. You can enter or change them at any time, even after the round is complete.

Reading the table

  • One column per category, plus a Total. The table starts sorted by Total, highest first. Click any heading to re-sort.
  • Click a player's row (look for the small arrow) to see their scores round by round. The coloured dots at the top show which colour is which round.
  • Dropped players stay in the table, marked Dropped.

Check soft scores before the last round closes

When you complete the final round, awards and final standings are calculated straight away, so check this tab first for missing scores. If a score comes in later, use Rescore on the Pairings tab to recalculate scores and awards (see Fixing Mistakes on Game Day). Completing the tournament also recalculates everything one last time.
